Biography
Dr.Geoffrey Robert Mitchell is experienced at developing, managing and leading teams of scientists drawn from different disciplines. A significant part of this work is conducted in partnership with industry and through national and international collaboration. He is an experimental scientist with a strongly multidisciplinary programme of research focused on polymers, and which involves active international collaborations and the use of both in-house and international experimental facilities including neutron and synchrotron facilities. There is a strong focus on the study of molecular organisation and the development of structure-processing-property relationships. He has experience at many Higher education institutions and also he is an author of many books. He also received Courtauld Polymer Science Prize in 1988
