Biography
Javad Foroughi received the B.S. and MS degree in textile engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran, in 1997 and the PhD degree in material engineering from University of Wollongong, Australia in 2009. He is currently working as ARC research fellow at Intelligent Polymer Research Institute, University of Wollongong, Australia. His research interests include Nanomaterials, Electromechanical actuators (“artificial musclesâ€) using inherently conducting polymers and / or carbon Nanotube, bionics and novel fibres spinning and the use of these in the development of smart materials and electronic-textile. He published more than 51 refereed publications in top ranked journals including three papers in the prestigious journal of Science.
